Caldero Lab Apps

I built these three web apps for my own musical practice and teaching, and I’m sharing them here for free. They run entirely in your browser—no accounts, no logins, and no personal data is collected. You can use them right here on the site or install them on your phone or computer as standalone offline apps.

If you find these tools useful and want to support the work, you can buy me a coffee! Right now, every contribution is going directly toward funding my quartet’s debut album recording.

Scale Lab

A deep scale exploration tool built around random or user-defined parameters. Explore modes, chords, patterns, and visualize them on piano, staff, or custom fretboard diagrams that can be exported as printable PDFs.

Sight Reading Generator

Random nonsensical music created on demand to practice sight reading. Choose different clefs, meters, key signatures, number of measures, transpositions (including custom), note range, with playback with or without a metronome. Works on mobile but better on laptop or desktop

Random Note Generator

Random notes at spaced intervals or at each press of a button. Can be used for ear training, singing practice, intonation practice (singing, wind instruments, fretless instruments, slide guitar), improvisation practice, or whatever else you come up with. The Pitch Practice feature uses your microphone for real-time pitch detection and analysis. Audio is processed locally in your browser and is not recorded or stored.
